The Monthly Empowerment Meeting on the 24 November was our last session for 2020! It was such a heart-warming session as we never fail to share our takeaways and learn from each other!

2020 has been a very challenging year as the whole world plummeted into a Pandemic with the Outbreak of COVID-19. In spite of the challenges, we did not give up on running our monthly empowerment meetings.

This month, we took stock of our milestones for 2020 and realized that our community has achieved so much more in the midst of COVID-19 than last year!

We started the year with the onsite meeting in February and we are thankful for the sponsorship of the venue by MindChamps at their new office, with a very positive turnout of women. Click on the link to watch the video >> https://youtu.be/GC7r-z_Q1Ko

Then with the announcement of the outbreak, we had to decide if we should proceed with our First Anniversary Celebration in March. It was a very tough decision but we decided to go ahead and even included a book launch!

It is our first community project where twenty-three women came together and contributed our favorite quotes in the book, “Voices of Courage”, to inspire and encourage others to live a courageous life.

Just before the lockdown, we managed to have one last onsite event, “Stories of Courage” Panel Discussion in collaboration with Class Living Pte Ltd and Genius Central Singapore.
Our Community Leaders not only had the opportunity to practice being courageous and spoke outside of the community, they also get to showcase their products and services at the event.

Then came the lockdown but that didn’t stop us from continuing our mission to inspire and empower others. Although many of our leaders may not be tech savvy, we took the opportunity to upgrade our skill sets and courageously conducted the Monthly Empowerment Meeting online!

The teamwork demonstrated by the leaders inspired and encouraged everyone that as long as we are willing to learn, nothing is too difficult or impossible!

Our leaders were fast learners and very soon, many started going online, doing live streaming on Facebook and Instagram. We encouraged each other to step out of our comfort zones with challenges like the 21 Days Self-love Challenge and 30 Days Gratitude Challenge.

Many of our leaders were overcoming their fears and self-doubt with the encouragement from each other. Examples like Ms Anita Kaur, who was not tech savvy and has never done any live streaming before, took up the challenge to overcome her fears and even started an online Book Club! Through this intentional action, it has built up her confidence as she learned many new skills along the way.

Ms Lynette Har, who never thought she had the potential to be an Emcee until she was challenged to lead our very first online meeting! And many of our leaders and members came to realize their gifts and talents through serving the community together and they started having a positive shift in their mindset and attitude. They begin to see their potential and that they are a unique contribution to their sphere of influence!

Our leaders also took intentional actions to exercise their creativity. They boldly proposed and implemented many ideas to engage the community, which led to a healthy growth in members and followers for our social media. One by one, they started to propose, champion and lead different projects.

They begin to gain awareness of their strengths and see the possibilities of being the support and inspiration for others to also experience breakthroughs in their lives!

I am so excited to see the leaders stepping up and coming together to organize the “Transform with Courage” BootCamp in March 2021, to help others who want to go deeper to work on their personal growth and development so that they can rise above the crisis with courage and resilience!

Personally, it has been a challenging year for me too as I am also growing in my journey of Leadership. It has been a long journey as I started out by stepping out of my own comfort zone, overcoming my fears and tearing down my limiting beliefs.

I went from a stay-at-home mom who was struggling with depression, confused and suicidal to becoming an Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker, a Courage Coach, Mentor and Founder of a social enterprise and this community,

I have never imagined myself to be leading a team of powerful ladies and that itself is already so humbling. I am not perfect and there is so much more to learn but I recognize that I am also a unique contribution to my own sphere of influence.

My dear sisters, my mission is to awaken the courage in you so that you too will start living a life of purpose, freedom and Significance!

Let’s us stay connected and be active in the participation of our meetings, events and activities. Let us draw courage and strength from this community of support!

We will continue to organize free webinars to share our knowledge, expertise and experiences so that you can grow together with us in this journey of awakening your courage!

Please check out our Facebook Page for our next online meeting!
I look forward to seeing you again real soon 🙂
